  "BOAK - At her residence in Bengal Oct 30th, 1885, Mrs Mary Boak, aged 68 years. Obituary next week. MEMOIR The funeral of Mary Boak took place Wednesday the 4th inst. at their residence about 2 miles from Fowler. The services were conducted by the Rev. I.B. Tallman of Maple Rapids. She was born in Ohio in 1817 and was united in marriage to A. Y. Boak in 1835. They had eleven children, of whom survive the mother - six sons and two daughters. They were all present at her funeral save one daughter in Wisconsin. Her six sons acted as pallbearers, and tenderly bore her to her last resting place. And it was certainly fitting that they, whom she had (bor~~illegible) so many years upon her (illegible~ing) heart. Should now bear her to her final resting place. She was converted to God 50 years ago, and united with the M. E. church, of which she remained a consistent and honored member until her death. One of her neighbors, who knew her well, said at her funeral, that too much could not be said in praise of her many virtues, and noble Christian character. I. B. T. "
