      Probe Is Held Into Cause Death
      Salina___An inquest was held here Monday into the death Saturday of Val Gene Steele, 40, after what witnesses described as a fight in truck parked in front of a Salina beer tavern.
      No arrests had been made Monday morning pending results of the inquest, according to Rex Hunstman, Aurora, Sevier County deputy sheriff.
      Mr. Huntsman quoted witnesse as saying a fight developed when a man left the tavern and climbed into the truck in which Mr. Steele was sitting.
      A second man ( Sherrill Crane) drove Mr. Steele home, where he died before a physician called from Gunnisin could arrive.
      Mr. Steele was born Oct. 20, 1908, son of Jesse Fielding Steele and Mina Dora Ivie Steele, pioneers of the community. He was married to Fern McClellan Steele at Aurora Oct. 16, 1937.
      Survivors include his widow a sons David W. Steele deceased, Gene F. Steele; three daughters Jo Ann Steele, Ilene Steele, and Barbara Steele, all of Salina; seven brothers and sisters. Harry Steele, Frank Steele,and Mrs. Minnie Allred, all of Salina.
      Mrs. Alfred Evans, Los Angeles, CA., Ellis Steele, Salt Lake, UT., Mrs. Royal Nielson, Provo, UT., and Glen Steele.
      Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. In Salina First Ward chapel Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints by Bishop Maurice Rasmussen. ________

      It was decided in October 16, 1951.
      Herbert F. Smart, Salt Lake City for appellant Grant Jensen. In the Supreme Court of Utah. The appeal occured from a conviction of second degree murder. He asserts there is not sufficient evidence from which reasonable minds could find beyond reasonable doubt either (1) that he had intent necessary to constitute second degree murder or (2) that anyacton his part caused the death.
      Accidental death was the final decision of the Supreme Court of Utah.
