      KNAPP-MESTRE MARRIAGE

Ray B. Knapp and Miss Leah Mestre were united in marriage at the homeof the bride's sister in Falls City on Wednesday of last week.

The bride is the daughter of a farmer residing about 7 miles east andnorth of Brock and is said to be the most estimable young lady.

Ray was born and raised here and at one time was an apprentice thisoffice and gave every evidence of becoming an expert printer, but he"reformed" and engaged in other work. Because of the fact that he wasan employee in this office, and one of the best we ever had, we havealways had an especial interest in him and none extend more heartycongratulations than do we, in spite of the fact that Ray overlookedus when passing the cigars and the news of his wedding.
