    • ANDREW RASMUSSEN Sr. of Sacketts Harbour in the State of New York,late a pilot in the service of the United States on Lake Ontario, andacting as such on board the United States Schooner PERT commanded byLieutenant Commandant Samuel W. Adams, having been killed by the enemywhile reconnoitering a Battery near Fort George, on Lake Ontario whilein the line of his duty in the service of the United States, CatharineRasmussen widow of the said Andrew Rasmussen is entitled to receiveTwenty dollars per month from the Commissioner of Loans of the stateof New York, payable half yearly, on the first day of January, andfirst day of July, in every year, for the term of five years, tocommence on the twenty second day of July, Eighteen Hundred andThirteen, the day of said Andrew's decease.

      Andrew Rasmussen settled in the year 1805 on Lot #1, in the hamlet ofNorth Sterling, Cayuga, New York State. He had lived in Ontario
      County, New York prior to moving to Cayuga. Andrew Rasmussen wasfatally shot at the Battle of Four Mile Creek at 15 minutes past 6p.m. on 22 July 1813. He died within one hour. Burial may have been atsea.
