T., on Monday, July 31, 1893, Mrs. HannahKnapp aged 72 years, 10 months and 21 days. The deceased was born in New York, September 10, 1820, and in 1841was married to W. H. Knapp. To them were born nine children, two ofwhom are dead, the others are Mrs. Minnie Smith who resides inMinnesota, M. W. and Eli Knapp of Stella, Mrs. Mollie Harding ofNemaha county, Mrs. Frances Bocock of Oklahoma, R. H. Knapp of Burr,Neb., and Charles Knapp of Oklahoma. Mr. and Mrs. Knapp came to Nebraska twenty-three years ago andlocated at Nemaha City and ten years ago moved to the farm nearStella, where the husband and father died in February, 1887. A yearor two previously Mrs. Knapp was stricken with blindness and remainedso until death. A year ago this month she went to Oklahoma and madeher home with her children there. Mrs. Knapp's father was a Baptist minister and she was baptized inthat faith at the early age of fifteen. She was well known and highlyrespected as a good wife and loving mother. We extend sinceresympathy to the bereaved children. The remains were brought to thisplace on Thursday, August 3, and after the funeral, Rev. Hollgreveofficiating, they were laid to rest beside her husband in the cemeterysouth-east of town.
